Cumberland County Fair 2007

From:  President Lynn Tollett

I would like to welcome everyone to the 2012 edition of the award winning Cumberland County Fair.  We had a very successful 2011, with the Ag. Enhancement Grant that we received from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.  By receiving this grant and the Fair Board, Cumberland County and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture working together, we were able to do over $110,000.00 worth of overdue improvement to the livestock barn, a complete new arena fence, and a new arena lighting and wiring upgrade.  With great attendance, excellent weather, and all programs and events going extremely well, the Cumberland County Fair was chosen AAA State Champion Fair for counties over 47,000 in population.  By winning our division championship, we are one of three fairs across the state that can win the 2011 State Champion of Champions Award.  This means we have a chance to be chosen the best fair in Tennessee.  We, as your Fair Board, are very proud of the award and the large trophy that is on display in the Fair Office.  I want to thank everyone that helped make this possible in any way, by volunteering, by entering items, working in anyway, or your attendance is how you helped make this possible.

This year we have made some major changes in shows and entertainment by bringing back two old favorites, the arena truck pulling on Thursday night and a horse and mule show on Saturday night along with a lot of new offerings.

Please pass the word to neighbors, family and friends that you can't miss the 2012 Cumberland County fair ~Where Farm Meets Fun for 6 nights and help make this 2012 fair the best ever.

Thanks again to all of our sponsors, volunteers and supporters because without you our award winning fair wouldn't be possible.
